Developed by our hospital Wang Suju, “sucker rod eddy current detection device probe” on December 20, 1991 adopted by the Department of Aeronautics and Space Science and Technology Division presided over the technical achievements appraisal. The probe was developed primarily for downhole fracturing of sucker rods in oil fields and creatively addresses the technical challenge of using eddy current principles to detect transverse cracks in sucker rods with special shapes (large dimensional tolerances and rough surfaces). During the testing process, both the sucker rod and the probe do not rotate, only the probe is required to move in a straight line (it can detect all the surface of the rod once), simplifying the mechanical loading
