陵县，就是以帝陵和后陵为中心而设立的县，它经历了先秦时期的萌芽、秦代的初步形成和西汉时期正式形成的发展过程。西汉时期设立的陵县一是同时具备礼制和政治两大功能，二是这两大功能得到了充分的发挥。这标志着在西汉时期陵县已经正式形成。
Lingxian County was established as a county centering on the Mausoleum and the Mausoleum. It experienced the sprout of the pre-Qin period, the initial formation of the Qin Dynasty and the official development process during the Western Han Dynasty. The first county established in the Western Han Dynasty had both the functions of etiquette and politics at the same time. Second, these two functions were fully exploited. This marks the formal establishment of Lingxian County in the Western Han Dynasty.
