今天讲的题目是:为了实现语音信号的有效存贮和传输而进行的语音数字编码。 首先讲点这方面的历史。 1954年我在格廷根大学做建筑声学方面的博士论文。然后,到美国贝尔电话实验室,并决定从事语言声学的研究工作。1928年贝尔实验室的工程师Dudley发明了声码器,文章公开发表于1935年。声码器(Vocoder)就是语言编码。它的发明并不是偶然的。当时有许多人如H.Nyqust,R.Hartley,C.Shannon等人都在考虑通信信道的信息量问题。而1920年以前,商业上是从信息压缩的角度来考虑问题的,1920年人们开始考虑频带的压缩了。
Today’s topic is: Voice digital coding for the efficient storage and transmission of voice signals. First let’s talk about this history. In 1954 I was a Ph.D. dissertation on architectural acoustics at Gottingen University. Then, to Bell Telephone Laboratories in the United States, and decided to engage in language acoustics research. In 1928 Dudley, a Bell Labs engineer, invented the vocoder, which was published in 1935. Vocoder is the language code. Its invention is not accidental. At that time, many people such as H. Nyquist, R. Hartley, C. Shannon and others were considering the amount of communication channel information issues. Before 1920, the problem was commercialized from the viewpoint of information compression. In 1920, people began to consider the compression of the frequency band.
