煤矿井下瓦斯突出的理论模型如下所述.突出是与瓦斯压力梯度有关的体积力(body force)产生的过大应力造成的煤结构的破坏.体积力影响煤矿工作面的稳定性,同样重力体积力也影响煤矿顶板稳定性.利用煤的平均密度,就能计算出体积力的大小.重力体积力等于压力梯度为14千帕·米~(-1)的瓦斯流的力.同一煤层中的瓦斯压力梯度及合应力可用数学法计算.这样,如果能测量或估算出必要的参数,则此理论原则上可用来比较各种开采布局的突出危险.
