1983年,《国际社会科学杂志》(International Social Science Journal)前任总编辑彼得·伦吉尔先生到北京,和中国社会科学院的同事们商讨,为开创我刊中文版作出安排。当时谁也无法预见这一事业前景如何。1983年末,《国际社会科学杂志》中文版出了试刊号,1984年起正式创刊。今天,在庆祝我刊中文版十周年之际,我们可以毫不夸张地说,它获得了充分的成功,成为国际社会科学界合作的一个典范。
In 1983, Mr. Peter Lengel, former editor-in-chief of the International Social Science Journal, went to Beijing to discuss with Chinese Academy of Social Sciences colleagues and make arrangements for creating a Chinese version of my journal. At that time, no one could foresee the future of this business. At the end of 1983, the Chinese edition of the International Social Science Magazine was published as the trial issue number and was officially launched in 1984. Today, celebrating the tenth anniversary of my edition of the Chinese edition, we can literally say that it has enjoyed full success and has become a model for the cooperation of the scientific community in the international community.
