徐晓燕是土地的歌手,一个田园的精神守望者。大地在她的眼里,不仅是旷野、山川、阡陌,不仅是庄稼、菜地、犁沟,而且是四季生命的盛衰轮回以及所有生命复归大地的永恒。不论是《秋季风景》系列中那片风中伫立着的被剥去果实、又割下头穗的苞谷田,还是《乐土》系列像老人肌肤般用岁月和沧桑刻画的、裂痕纵横的苍穹大地;也不论是《大地的肌肤》系列里触摸着土地语言和历史的荒原;还是《辉煌》系列中夕阳投射在玉米秸秆的残茬上闪烁出的金色光泽,都呈现的是画家对于自然与人类关系的思考。苍凉而悲壮的大地,似乎也把人性的价值赤裸裸地披露出来,那是在干裂的土地上晾晒生命,那是在撕扯旷野的肌肤上鞭笞灵魂。
