每个民族都有一整套吃的文化。如果我们将西方人看成是以主食动物脂肪来维持生命的食肉民族的话,那么中国人就是一个以主食五谷杂粮为生的食草民族。其实“吃草”也好,“食肉”也罢,在人类进化和社会演变的历程中,各民族几乎都同时经历过一个从饮血茹毛的食肉时代(旧石器时代)到以种植谷物谋生的食草时代(母系氏族社会)。但是,中华民族为什么没能像西方人那样转向“食肉”,却一直延续着“食草”的传统呢?这是由一个民族的文化密码整合决定的。
