During the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States period, the style of “Shang Wu” flourished. This was closely related to the political and ecological conditions prevailing in the war at the time, and it was also an inevitable requirement for the development of the times. Qi, Qin as the then occupy the East and the West of the two powers, but also martial arts practitioners and promoters. Long-term coexistence with the ethnic minorities such as the Rong and Yi groups is a deep soil formed by the martial customs of the two countries. However, although both Qi and Qin are ambitious military forces, they are very different in terms of their manifestations, promotion efforts and the emphasis they advocate. These differences have caused great disparities in the combat effectiveness of the two militaries, The different historical fate is not unrelated.
