日本学者久保天随以擅长汉诗著称,他的中国戏曲研究则较少受人关注。他受明治时期中国戏曲研究先锋森槐南的影响,接触并开始研究中国戏曲。在几度修订中国文学史的过程中,他对于中国戏曲的研究日渐深入,并凭借在内阁文库和宫内省图书寮遍览群书的机会,积攒了大量材料,最终在《西厢记》、特别是《西厢记》的版本研究方面取得了令人瞩目的成果,成为日本研究中国戏曲的代表人物之一。
Japanese scholar Kubo Tian is known for his good at Chinese poetry, and his study of Chinese drama is less concerned about. Influenced by Senhuai Nan, a pioneer in the study of Chinese drama in the Meiji era, he toured and started to study Chinese opera. During the process of revising the history of Chinese literature several times, his research on Chinese opera became more and more in-depth. By accumulating a large amount of materials with his chances of reading books in the Cabinet Library and the Miriam Bookseo, It is one of the representative figures in the study of Chinese opera in Japan. It has made remarkable achievements in the version study of The Romance of the West Chamber.
