The author compares the virtual instrument with the traditional intelligent instrument, points out the concept and characteristics of the virtual instrument, and considers that the application of the graphical G language and the software package greatly reduces the work of the underlying software development. After introducing the composition of the virtual instrument with an example, the author points out that the virtual instrument is a new development stage of the traditional intelligent instrument.
