今年汛期,辽宁省遭受严重的洪涝风雹等自然灾害。灾害种类之多,持续时间之长,受害面之广,成灾程度之重,是历史上罕见、建国以来所没有的。据统计,全省受淹农田二千四百万亩,占全省耕地的三分之一,减少粮食一百亿斤,各项直接经济损失四十七亿元。全省广大党员、干部、群众和人民解放军指战员连续奋战几十昼夜,同洪水进行了艰苦、顽强的斗争,赢得了抗洪抢险救灾斗争的重大胜利。 This year’s flood season, Liaoning Province suffered severe natural disasters such as floods and hail. As many kinds of disasters, long durations, extensive victimization, and heavy damage are rare in history and have not existed since the founding of the People’s Republic. According to statistics, 24 million mu of farmland have been flooded in the province, accounting for one-third of the cultivated land in the province, reducing 10 billion kilograms of grain and all direct economic losses by 4.7 billion yuan. The vast majority of party members, cadres, the masses and people’s Liberation Army soldiers and officers and soldiers of the entire province have continuously fought for dozens of days and nights, strenuously struggled with the floods and won major victories in the fight against floods.
