素有“东方太阳城”之美誉的日照市,是《文心雕龙》作者刘勰的家乡,历史源远流长。境内大汶口文化、龙山文化、太阳文化以及色彩浓郁的日照农民画等,深深地浸淫着袁博生。他生活、工作于此,自幼酷爱书画艺术,痴迷于齐鲁文化带来的享受,临摹大家的一山一水、一草一木,进行着无师又有师的学习。
