变声期发音障碍是男子在性成熟期间常见的一种疾患。它的特征是性器官发育正常,无有内分泌功能失调或其它器质性器患。这种疾患在发声上的表现是声音正在改变,而发着一种所谓“变声期慨假声”。这种假声一般经常嘶哑或不亮,尤其在由高音调到低音调,或由低音调到高音调时,发音障碍更加显著。有时竟和小公鸡昀尖叫声相仿。这种现象有的维持三数月,有的可拖延数年,给患者在精神上和说话发音上带来莫大的妨碍与痛苦。
