学术界对棋盘形的客家民居素乏研究。“王侍卫屋”始建于清乾隆二十五年 ,历时 50年而成。正屋为五栋六横二花胎棋盘形。全屋有大小厅房 30 0间。“王侍卫屋”中的祖堂、书舍、楹联体现了客家人敬祖重教的建筑文化内涵。
Academic researches on chessboard Hakka dwellings. “Royal Guard House” was built in the Qing Emperor Qianlong twenty-five years, which lasted 50 years. The house is five six horizontal two flower checkerboard. The whole room has a size of 30 rooms. Ancestral Hall, Book House and Couplets in “Wang Wei Wei House” embody the architectural and cultural connotations of the Hakka people.
