世界上对光纤可靠性的研究,集中于光纤的机械疲劳和长期使用后的破坏概率。本文将介绍在这方面的主要结果和方法,同时提出一种采用短光纤试样的测试和计算方法。近10年来,光纤通信系统已在世界上许多国家得到广泛应用,甚至已扩展到越洋领域。但是玻璃光纤光缆是否也像铜线电缆那样可以使用许多年?在使用中共机械可靠性如何?这是决定光纤经济性的关键问题之一。因而对光纤光缆的破裂强度和长时期(如二三十年)的破裂概率与可靠性的研究,是一个重要的课题。
The world’s study of optical fiber reliability focuses on the mechanical fatigue of optical fibers and the probability of damage after prolonged use. This article presents the main results and methods in this area, along with a test and calculation method using short fiber samples. In the past 10 years, the optical fiber communication system has been widely used in many countries in the world and has even been extended to the trans-oceanic field. But is the glass fiber optic cable also used for many years like a copper cable? How reliable is the mechanical reliability of the machine? One of the key issues in fiber economy. Therefore, the research on the rupture strength and the reliability of the optical fiber cable rupture strength and long period (such as twenty or thirty years) is an important issue.
