尤金·奈达是世界译界泰斗,其学术建树与之平分秋色者无多。笔者注意到正是奈达先生在他后期学术著作里将译语target language之提法换成receptor language。一向以严谨著称的先生何以“晚节不保”呢?戛戛独造以求标新立异吗?译界一直沿用source language和target language至今,前者无可争论,作者背景个性,作品语言风格,文化背景以及思想内涵等皆客观存在。然而对于原语经翻译后走向何方,大家都提心吊胆。因此,译界对译本提出了很多要求,从严复的信,达,雅,傅雷的“神似”到钱钟书先生的“化境”说,见仁见智,莫衷一是。标准虽异,但都是戴给译者的“紧箍咒”。换言之,许多人心目中只有原作到译本这一转换,
