疾病预防控制(以下简称“疾控”)机构综合能力在一个地区的疾病预防控制乃至经济发展中起着十分重要的作用。文章阐述了南通市疾控中心在整个“十一五”期间以服务经济建设、保障人民健康、维护社会稳定为宗旨,以“疫情防控、应急处置、监测预警、实验质控、健康宣教、信息处理、科研创新、指导服务”等8项具体能力建设为抓手,方向明确,思路清晰,脚步坚定,使综合能力得到稳步提升,多项工作跻身全省一流,创出一条具有南通特色疾病防控之路的成功经验。
