北京市光机电一体化产业基地成立于2001年7月23日,规划面积7.5平方公里。2002年3月,光机电基地建设领导小组制定了“聚焦光机电”的战略决策,由此光机电产业基地步入快速发展的阶段。园区以高新技术产业为主,传统产业改造提升为辅,在产业规划上重点发展微电子、光电子、数控机床、印刷机械、智能仪器仪表、医疗设备、电子专用设备、激光技术、机器人等主导产业。自园区成立以来,已完成首期开发2.5平方公里基础设施的建设,共引进韩国现代MOBIS、比亚迪等16家实体企业,协议投资总额83.83亿元,其中外资5.47亿美元。
