初中学生记忆力强、爱模仿、敢说好问、不怕说错,这些特点都有利于外语的教学。同时学生年纪小、好动、注意力不易长时间集中,不喜欢呆板、单一地进行冗长的讲课。针对这种特征,我们应该使教学方法、教学方式灵活多样。讲解时可借助图画、实物、手势、动作、表情等,以引起和保持学生的学习兴趣和积极性,使教学生动、形象、直观、有趣,从而加深学生的印象,强化他们的记忆,收到预期的教学效果。根据中学的现状,不可能在大多数学校里经常地使用幻灯、电视、电影等电化教学设备。那么,怎样生动有趣地上好初中英语课呢?在教学实习中,我们的主要作法和体会是:
