1993年11月18日,经国务院批准,冀州撤县设市。这标志着冀州市改革开放和经济建设进入了一个新的历史发展时期。近几年,冀州市作为国务院批准的对外开放市、河北省综合改革试点市,经济发展已连续跨越了几个台阶。1992年,工农业总产值达到20.3亿元,财政收入510O万元。冀州市的建立,又给我们提出了更高的目标和更新的要求,我们决心抓住撤县建市这个历史机遇,大力强化城市意识、机遇意识和发展意识,努力把冀州建设成以农业为依托,以工业为主体,以商贸、旅游服务为两翼,文明昌盛的新城市。
November 18, 1993, approved by the State Council, Jizhou withdrawal county set up the city. This marks Jizhou’s reform and opening up and economic construction has entered a new historical period of development. In recent years, as a city open to the outside world approved by the State Council and a pilot city for comprehensive reform in Hebei Province, Jizhou City has continuously crossed several steps in its economic development. In 1992, the gross output value of industry and agriculture reached 2.03 billion yuan with a fiscal revenue of 510.0 million yuan. The establishment of Jizhou City has given us a higher goal and renewal of the requirements. We are determined to seize the historic opportunity of establishing a city by removing counties, vigorously strengthen urban awareness, awareness of opportunities and development awareness, and strive to build Jizhou into a Relying on, with industry as the mainstay, commerce and trade, tourism services for the two wings, civilized and prosperous new city.
