LeCroy was founded in 1964 in New York, USA, where it conducts experiments and research in particle physics and high-energy physics. Since these sophisticated researches need to be supported by a very high level of technology, after a few years of work, LeCroy has established its position in the field of high-energy testing and maintained it to this day. In early 1970, the company began to produce a variety of high-frequency digital converters, amplifiers, counters, low-level high-speed signal detectors and test equipment for high-energy physics testing purposes. Since then, LeCroy has gradually become a manufacturer of modular, high-speed, high-precision analog and digital test instruments. In 1986, LeCroy produced the first digital storage oscilloscope.
