The Advisory Search Group was held in Liuzhou Road Bureau from November 16 to November 20, 1981. A total of 55 representatives of 26 units of the railway attended the meeting. Read 6 papers at the conference. The symposium, based on the spirit of “free discussion,” “non-provision,” and “unification,” all expressed their views and fully explored the issue. After a heated discussion at the conference, the importance of search tools was fully recognized. At present, with the ever-changing science and technology, the rapid development and the double-growth of the documentation, the scientific and technical personnel have no choice but to find out the necessary intelligence information for the vast amounts of documents.
