Nairobi On March 30, 2000, about 2,000 officials from governments and organizations gathered at UNEP headquarters from April 9 to April 20 to discuss ways to promote the CITES Convention. The 11th Conference of the Parties to the Convention will consider revising the list of species to strengthen the convention’s ban or control measures. These species include African elephants, Madagascar poison frogs, whales, turtles and more
