要办好图书馆,做好情报工作,除了物质条件如经费、藏书、设备等外,关键取决于工作人员的素质。一个图书馆的藏书再多,不进行科学的分编就会弄得一团糟,许多有用的书就会变成“死书”;设备再先进,没有懂技术的专业人才,就无法使之运行。因此,要充分发挥图书馆的职能,保障教学和学术研究的顺利进行,必须提高工作人员的自身素质。根据图情工作的特点,我认为作为一个图书情报人员应具备如下素质。
