The United Nations FAO / IAEA Scientific Cooperation Project on “Application of Nuclear Techniques and Other Techniques to Evaluate the Fertility of Phosphate Fertilizers, Especially Phosphate Rocks” was held in Montpellier, France from April 24 to April 28, 1995. Twenty representatives from 15 countries and the IAEA head of the project attended the meeting. In addition, the opening ceremony was attended by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Atomic Energy Commission, the Ministry of Agriculture, the International Center for Agricultural Development Research of France and the Phosphate Institute of the World. This meeting mainly reports on the progress of scientific research conducted by various contracting parties since the last meeting for more than a year and to discuss further collaborative plans.
