The U.S. Air Force announced on February 29 that the A330MRTT tanker from EADS / Northrop Grumman won the bid for the KC-135 tanker replacement project and formally named the A330MRTT the KC-45A. In the next 15 to 12 years, the U.S. Air Force will spend $ 35 billion to purchase 179 KC-45A.
