我从在国外几个国家的工作中获得的经验之一就是课堂是进行语言教学的良好环境。在有能力的教师指导下,课堂能够帮助自觉的学习者发展学习策略,这比起真正的但充满困难和错误的“外国”世界来则更为有效和经济。在两种截然不同的供选择的方法之中——受控的语言课或者自由的外语环境,课堂能提供给有积极性的学习者最好的机会以取得学习上的成功。积极的观点不要把课堂看作是限制性的,把课堂的活动看作为对良好的语言教学的压抑,我们应该看到语言课堂对于学习者所具有的非常
One of the lessons I learned from my work in several foreign countries is that the classroom is a good environment for language teaching. Guided by competent teachers, the classroom can help conscious learners to develop learning strategies that are more efficient and economical than real, but difficult, and wrong “foreign” worlds. In two distinct alternative approaches - controlled language classes or free foreign language environments, the classroom can offer the best opportunities for motivated learners to succeed in learning. The positive point of view is not to treat the classroom as restrictive, but to view the activities of the classroom as a repression of good language teaching.
