Cytoplasmic Ca2 + regulates functional metabolism of cells, nuclear Ca2 + participates in many nuclear reaction processes such as gene transcription and expression, cell proliferation, differentiation and apoptosis. The regulation of cytoplasmic [Ca2 +] has been studied in more detail, but the regulation of nuclear [Ca2 +] is not yet clear.
