创办于1984年的泰纳奖是世界上非常著名而又颇受争议的当代艺术奖项,它的授奖对象为年龄不超过五十岁的英籍艺术家,旨在向世界呈现当前英国艺术的优秀作品,每年举办次。今年的泰纳奖颁奖日期在12月5日,今年获提名的几位艺术家的作品近日将在盖茨黑德波罗的海当代艺术中心展出。这是27年来获提名作品首次在泰特以外的机构展出,第二次在伦敦以外的城市展出(去年是在泰特利物浦美术馆展出的)。
Established in 1984, the Taina Prize is a prestigious and controversial contemporary art award in the world. It is awarded to British artists under the age of 50 in order to present to the world excellent works of current British art , Held times a year. This year’s Tana Awards show on December 5 and several of the artists nominated this year will be exhibiting at the Gateshead Baltic Center for Contemporary Art today. This is the first time that a nominated piece has been exhibited for 27 years outside Tate, and for the second time in a city outside of London (last year at the Tate Liverpool Gallery).
