“森林植物地带”是指具有相似的气候土壤条件,自然分布着相似的植物种群(就木本植物而言分布着相似的乔灌木种类及其成林类型)的一个大的区域范围。科学地划分森林植物地带是进一步划分造林立地条件类型,进行适地适树研究的基础和前提,对因地制宜地指导林业生产也有重要意义。
“Forest plant zone” refers to a large area of land with similar climatic and soil conditions that naturally resemble similar plant species (in the case of woody plants, similar types of shrubs and trees are distributed). The division of forest plantations scientifically is the basis and prerequisite for further dividing the types of site for afforestation, and appropriate study on suitable trees. It is also significant to guide forestry production according to local conditions.
