Before you discuss your current employer with a vacation that is outside of your rated vacation, you need to consider the company policy before you need a vacation other than holidays. On vacation, some companies have some explicit provisions, but others do not - unless they are legally mandatory (such as maternity leave or joining the army). Talk to your boss or personnel department and ask if your reason for leaving is reasonable from a company policy point of view. It is also a good idea to talk to some colleagues who may help you to fill your vacancies, as preparing a replacement plan to fill your position may help you get a leave permit. Also take into account your personal situation and whether you want to apply for paid leave.
