Fu Jen Catholic University occupies a place in the history of the development of modern Chinese education. Its establishment and development embody countless efforts of Chinese people. The incident at Fu Jen Catholic University in 1950 was a major event in the early days of the founding of the nation. The party and the government made swift and decisive treatment of this incident, triggering a nationwide campaign to recuperate schools receiving foreign allowances.
