笔者在疾病控制中心工作,经常接触一些由宠物引起的患者,深感宠物虽然好玩,有时也会给人们带来许多痛苦,甚至死亡。狂犬病离我们有多远小明是个三年级的学生,前几天突然发烧,咽部发紧,一喝水就呛咳。有经验的医生开始怀疑是狂犬病,但是,家长一直坚持说没有被狗咬过。最后病情发展到一听到流水声就抽搐,并出现典型的脚弓反张……小明被诊断为狂犬病无疑,虽然全力抢救,终未能起死回生。
The author works at the Center for Disease Control and often encounters pet-induced patients. He feels that although pets are fun, they sometimes cause many suffering and even death.
