Preface This article reports a new volumetric method for the determination of beryllium. This method is based on the following: When an excess of sodium thiosulfate is present, an aqueous solution of beryllium sulfate is hydrolysed with potassium iodide and potassium iodate, and the excess of sulfur is titrated with a standard solution of iodine On behalf of sodium sulfate. The possibility of using a mixture of potassium iodide and potassium iodate is also discussed.
