阜新铁路地区于1979年初,在配水管路中出现了铁细菌,当时反映很大。经过详细调查发现整个住宅区东半部φ100mm铸铁管1500m;φ25mm以下熟铁管近3000m的管路中全部存在铁细菌,特别是消火栓、止阀及水不流通的死头管路中存在更多。铁细菌本来是做为污水处理或除铁等催化剂之用的一种有益菌,但是在人们饮用水的管路中出现铁细菌害处就大了。为了把铁细菌处理干净,我们将φ100mm近1270mm的管路每隔60m断一个口,每段均用钢丝刷子刷洗干净,这一事例的出现,使我们对铁细菌在供水管中产生的原因,处理及防止办法做了一
