山麻杆(Alchornea davidii),大戟科落叶丛生灌木,高2～3米。一年生嫩枝绿色,老枝棕色或深棕色。叶互生,长7～13厘米,宽9～17厘米,阔卵形或扁圆形。早春从细细的直立茎上萌发鲜红的嫩叶(见图),随着叶片长大,慢慢变成紫绿色至淡绿色,既神秘又美丽。山麻杆原产我国。喜光,阴处也能生长,较耐寒,对土壤要求不严。常见生于山丘水滨的石缝中,在园林绿化中常植于园内一角或假山、建筑物墙基处,也可在山麓丛植或片植成树坛,是
