During the course of 2004,the Chinese trade unions eaestly implemented their strategy of "Organizing for Better Protection," stepped up efforts to regulate industrial relations,effectively defended the legitimate rights and interests of workers.I.Safeguarding the Right of Workers to Join and Organize Trade Unions In 2004,fresh progress was registered in this endeavour.Trade unions at various levels intensified their organizing efforts,with special emphasis placed on unionizing non-State sectors and organizing migrant workers,and built and improved a long-term mechanism for guaranteeing the right to organize.
