姚雪垠不但积极推动中国当代红学界的思想解放,而且致力于扭转中国当代“红学”的发展方向,反对《红楼梦》研究重思想轻艺术的倾向。在促进“红学”的研究方法“转轨”的基础上,辩证地把握了《红楼梦》这部伟大小说,既分析和研究了《红楼梦》在艺术上的辉煌成就,也分析它的不足之处。姚雪垠在推动中国当代“红学”的发展时没有停留在“红学”上,而是要求“红学”“探索产生一个伟大作家或伟大作品的若干规律”。姚雪垠还提出了宏伟的红学史观,这种红学史观是姚雪垠的“大文学史”观的一个有机组成部分。
Yao Xueyin not only actively promoted ideological emancipation in contemporary Chinese academics, but also devoted himself to reversing the direction of contemporary Chinese “redology” and opposed the tendency of “Dream of Red Mansions” to study and reconsider the art of light. On the basis of promoting the research method of “Red Learning ” and “Transformation ”, we dialectically grasp the great novel “A Dream of Red Mansions”, which not only analyzes and studies the brilliant achievements in art of A Dream of Red Mansions, but also analyzes its Insufficient. Yao Xueyin did not stop at “Red Learning” while promoting the development of contemporary “Red Learning” in China. Instead, he asked for “Red Learning” “to explore certain rules that produced a great writer or great work.” Yao Xueyin also put forward the magnificent concept of red history which is an integral part of Yao Xueyin’s concept of history of big literature.
