由中国科技新闻学会发起主办的“第五届亚太地区媒体与科技和社会发展研讨会”于11月4日至6日在北京举行。随着我国政府提出建设创新型国家这一宏伟目标,中国科研事业取得了突飞猛进的发展。科学家们的工作主要体现在专业期刊上发表的论文,如何让大众通过专业期刊的论文了解科研工作的最新进展,并进而让他们参与科学发展的进程,是当前科学传播工作者(包括科技记者在内)十分关注的问题。为了适应科技发展形势的需要,会议期间,2006年11月5日,在北京中国科技会堂举办“沟通科技期刊与大众传媒”专题讨论会,旨在讨论如何促进大众媒体和公众报道和了解中国科学家在国内科技期刊发表的研究。这专题讨论会主办单位为中国科技新闻学会、科学与发展网络(Sci Dev.Net),资助单位为励德爱思唯尔集团,支持单位为中国科协学会学术部。
Sponsored by China Institute of Science and Technology Press “The Fifth Asia Pacific Seminar on Media and Science and Technology and Social Development” was held in Beijing from November 4 to November 6. As our government proposes the grand goal of building an innovative nation, China’s scientific research has made rapid progress. Scientists work mainly in the published papers in professional journals. How to let the public know about the latest progress of scientific research through their papers in professional journals and then let them participate in the process of scientific development are the current scientific communication workers (including science and technology journalists ) Is very concerned about the issue. In order to meet the needs of the development of science and technology, during the meeting, on November 5, 2006, a symposium titled “Communication of Scientific and Technological Journals and Mass Media” was held in Beijing China Science and Technology Hall to discuss how to promote media coverage and public understanding of the mass media Chinese scientists published in domestic scientific journals. This symposium is sponsored by China Science and Technology News Institute, Science and Development Network (Sci Dev.Net), funded by Reed Elsevier Group and supported by Academic Department of China Association for Science and Technology.
