At the invitation of the European-China Friendship Association and the French Nurses Association, the author visited the two general hospitals in Europe and a nursing home in Europe in July 1999 with the Chinese Nursing Association’s delegation to Europe. The deepest feeling was the Dutch Merwede Hospital. There are three characteristics of style: (1) the hospital’s circular organization structure highlights the patient-centered service model; (2) the architectural design style of the hospital is elegant, sophisticated and practical.
