本文简要介绍了编写《地球科学概论》双语教材的体会。笔者认为,一本好的双语教材既是完成双语教学目的的需要,也是提高双语教学水平的两个要素之一。笔者在选取教材内容时,基本理论概念采用最经典的原文论述,主要来自地质学经典原版教材和著名专业网站,而相关实例则尽量选择中国的素材和科研中的最新成果。对重要的专业词汇加注中文解释,以便在强化与国际接轨的同时避免与国内脱轨。注意将地学界最新的科研成果和信息更新到教材中,以保持教材的先进性。笔者还在教材中加入自己创作的中文诗歌,以激发读者对大自然的兴趣和对中国的热爱。同时充分利用母语的优势和汉语文字简洁易记的特点,帮助读者理解与记忆地质学中繁杂的概念和事件。
This article briefly introduces the compilation of “Earth Science Introduction” bilingual teaching materials experience. The author believes that a good bilingual teaching material is not only the need to complete the goal of bilingual education, but also improve bilingual education is one of the two elements. When selecting the content of textbooks, the author adopts the most classic original textual concepts, mainly from the original textbooks of geology and famous professional websites, and the relevant examples try their best to select the latest material from China and research. Put important Chinese words into the professional glossary so as to avoid any derailments with the country while strengthening international standards. Attention to the latest academic achievements and information to the textbook to update, in order to maintain the advanced teaching materials. The author also adds his own Chinese poetry to the textbooks to stimulate readers’ interest in nature and his love for China. At the same time, we should make full use of the advantages of mother tongue and the concise and easy-to-remember characteristics of Chinese characters to help readers understand and remember the complicated concepts and events in geology.
