The Universal Declaration of Human Rights (hereinafter “the Declaration”) adopted on December 10, 1948 is one of the most important and widely circulated human rights legal documents in the world. Its drafting and its final adoption are the result of the joint efforts of all the member states of the United Nations, and in particular, the efforts of the Drafting Committee, which was responsible for drafting the declaration at the time.
