中毒经过:1996年5月29日上午8时,北驻村个体门市部经营者马×,从邻县购进熟猪头4kg、豆腐皮7.5kg,放在店内冰箱冷藏室内保存。即日12时后,本村村民陆续从该店购买熟猪头肉及豆腐皮。当地农民有每天两顿饭的习惯,时值抢种玉米季节,为节省时间,农民买回的猪头肉、豆腐皮做成凉拌菜,作为下午3~4点钟第二顿饭的菜食。有4户农民24人吃了该店的猪头肉或豆腐皮后,21人发生食物中毒,其中男9人,女12人,最大年龄59岁,最小年龄7岁,住院治疗5人。
