郑敬王朱载生于隆庆四年(1570)七月十三日,系明太祖朱元璋的第八代孙、明仁宗朱高炽第六代孙。万历三十四年(1606)因同族兄弟朱载让爵而受封郑王。追封其父朱厚炜为郑顺王。其妻刘氏生于隆庆四年六月二十五日,受封郑王妃。崇祯十三年(1640)四月初十日载薨,其长子朱翊钟袭封郑王,后因罪赐死。其女受封邰郡主,婚配怀庆府河内县刘一蛟为妻。
