伟大的五一节已经到来了,这是中华人民共和国成立以后第一个劳动节,也是福建全省大陆上解放以后第一个劳动节。省人民政府今天特召集这个盛大的干部会,并邀请本市各工厂学校机关团体的代表,一起来庆祝这个意义重大的节日。由于中国工人阶级的政党中国共产党和毛主席的英明领导,由于人民解放军的英勇奋斗,由于全国劳动人民和广大爱国人民的团结奋斗,我们已经推翻了帝国主义、封建主义、官僚资本主义在全国的反动统治,全国劳动人民已经由奴隶的地位成为主人的地位,工人阶级成为国家的领导阶级。在国营企业中,工人已成为主人;在私营企业中,工人也已获得正当的经济政治权利。福建人民政府成立以来,工人阶级也已成为人民政权的领导阶级。劳动成为光荣的新道德,八万工人已经团结在自己的工会组织中,成为团结农民阶级团结各民主阶级建设新福建的前进动力,成为领导人民民主专政的基本力量。所以我们要热烈地来庆祝解放后第一个工人阶级的伟大节日。
The great May Day has come. This is the first Labor Day after the founding of the People’s Republic of China. It is also the first Labor Day after the liberation on the mainland of Fujian Province. Provincial People’s Government specially summoned this grand cadre meeting today and invited representatives from all factories, schools, and government agencies and organizations in this city to celebrate this grand festival. Due to the wise leadership of the Chinese Communist Party and Chairman Mao of the working class and due to the heroic struggle of the People’s Liberation Army, we have overthrew the imperialist, feudal, bureaucratic capitalist forces throughout the country because of the united efforts of the working people of the country and the majority of the patriotic people. In reactionary rule, the working people throughout the country have become masters of the status of slaves and the working class has become the leading class of the country. In state enterprises, workers have become masters; in private enterprises, workers have also been granted proper economic and political rights. Since the founding of Fujian People’s Government, the working class has also become the leading class of the people’s government. Work has become a glorious new morality. Eighty thousand workers have been united in their own trade union organizations and become the driving force for uniting the peasantry in uniting the various democratic classes in building New Fujian and the basic force in leading the people’s democratic dictatorship. Therefore, we must warmly celebrate the great holiday of the first working class after the liberation.
