Objective To understand the status quo and epidemic situation of schistosomiasis in the province. Methods According to the national sampling plan of schistosomiasis, a stratified cluster random sampling method was adopted. A total of 18 sample villages were selected to investigate the infection status of human and animal schistosomiasis and the investigation of snail status. Three villages were selected according to the infection rate of residents Physical examination and B-ultrasound; according to the prevalence of the three counties to carry out spirits survey; select two typical waters of floating population of schistosomiasis infection survey. Results A total of 18349 people were examined, the positive rate of serum immunological examination was 14.97%, the average rate of stool correction was 2.23%, the mean of patient’s infection degree (XA) was 400, the geometric mean (XG) was 54.41, With a mean of 15.37 and XG of 0.17. The prevalence of infection was 2.77% in males and 1.54% in females. The prevalence of sub-type lakes was 3.47% in different endemic areas, 3.31% . The prevalence of schistosomiasis in floating population was 4.78%. The estimated number of patients in the province is 73,337, of which 24.11% are sub-type lakes and sub-types, and 50.5% are those in sub-type of continental beaches; 25.39% are in sub-type hilly areas. The infection rate of cattle was 5.0%, buffalo infection rate was 4.98%, pig was 0.33% and sheep was 1.92%. Conclusions The epidemic situation of schistosomiasis in Anhui Province has not yet been effectively controlled. The lakes and marshes area is the focus of current blood and disease prevention work.
