古文的翻译必须忠实于原文,准确地表达原文的意思,通常古文的翻译有直译和意译两种.直译,就是对照原文的词语和次序用现代汉语直接写出来,要求字字落实,不能改变句式和语气.意译,就是只译出它的大意,字词可以增减,句式也可以变换.中学教学,无论是讲解或是做练习,还是应考,都要求直译,只是在翻译个别特殊句子时才采取意译.下面就直译谈几种方法:
