Samuel Selwyn is a writer of Caribbean immigrants with an important literary status. His novels have earned him a reputation of the Anglo-American literary world for his outstanding performance in the life and customs of the Creoles in the West Indies of the Caribbean. The postcolonial thinking embodied in the novel and its unique narrative language has always been the focus of critics. However, at home, the study of Selwyn is still in its infancy. In order to further study the works of Selwyn and Caribbean literature, it is necessary to make a detailed review of the current study of Selwyn at home and abroad.
