在上个世纪下半叶的中国摄影发展历程中,袁毅平具有多重身份:摄影师、编辑、摄影理论研究者、中国摄协的领导者、摄影活动组织者。这多重身份使他的影像如多棱镜一般折射出了摄影题材、风格与时代的关系,主流影像与突破影像规训的可能等问题。对这些问题的思考和讨论将会成为理解中国当代摄影演进的线索。
Yuan Yuping has multiple identities in the development of Chinese photography in the second half of the last century: photographers, editors, researchers in photography theory, leaders of China Association for Photography, organizers of photography activities. The multiple identities make his images such as polygons generally reflect the themes of photography, the relationship between style and the times, the mainstream images and the possibility of breaking through the discipline of images. Thinking and discussing these questions will become a clue to understand the evolution of contemporary Chinese photography.
