Austrian poet Rilke’s “Ten Letters to Young Poets” is a famous letter in the history of Western literature in the 20th century. By reading this letter, you can gain a better understanding of Rilke’s spiritual world, understand its perception of the world and itself, and discover the role that fear, loneliness and love play in his life. Fear is one of the most important experiences of Rilke’s life. He has long occupied his heart but accomplished his poetry. Loneliness is the inherent emotional state of Rilke’s life and creation, The most important prerequisite for the world; and love, in his view, is the most significant task that requires people to spend the rest of their lives in learning and has the resilience of reconciling and transforming fear and loneliness.
